What can be made from found objects, salvaged bike chains, and a wooden canvas? Throw some paint on these things and see what happens!
I love to find & collect small odd items. I try to use them in various projects when I can. I recently discovered wooden canvases, so I thought it would be fun to use one to display some of these items.
I sketched a drawing with a pencil and then arranged a variety of objects on the wooden canvas. After gluing them on, I did several washes of acrylic paint over them. Then I painted the rest of the wood including the edges of the canvas. Finally, I glued some salvaged bicycle chain to the painting.
And voila! A message to encourage recycling and upcycling. I love the industrial look of this project!
