During the last years, the biggest trend in home decoration and design is to recycle and reuse old and often useless or heterogeneous materials in any form. In Amsterdam, the Brandbase company built its offices located in the city center entirely from recycled wooden pallets. The architects Paul Geurts & Saxon Lear Duckworth converted a long narrow and seemingly difficult field length of 27 meters in an impressive design space with great aesthetic using just pallets.
They create an impressive “sculpture” staircase that leads from the first level to the 2nd floor. The office desks have been covered with a glass top and black modern leather chairs supplement an urban feeling. Also, a pallet staircase leads at the third level and a conference table have been placed with modern white chairs.
