Saba, Recycled Wine Barrel Stave Kitchen Island Light

Saba is a pendant ceiling light completely handcrafted using reclaimed oak stave’s, recycled from discarded French wine barrels and reinvented into this elegant, unique light fixture. Saba is ideal as kitchen island light or over a dining area.

Saba’s oak stave is stained in a golden oak color on the outside, while the inside still shows the rich reddish color left by the wine previously held in the barrel, creating a beautiful two tones effect. The stunning redness given by the wine is enhanced when the piece is lit.
The stave’s ends are smoothed to add softness to the silhouette, but still show the original groove of each barrel’s plank. Portions of the actual barrel’s metal hoop embellish the stave’s ends. The metal is left in its original color. The chrome hardware elements perfectly complement the look of this piece.

Saba comes complete of a matching canopy, custom crafted to match the light fixture, using an oak disk and a small portion of a wine barrel stave, finished in the same color as the fixture.

This light fixture comes with 4 very bright halogen bulbs (gu10 35w), long life, dimmable.

Saba can be included as an extraordinary and unique piece of home or winery decor, integrated into any style of interior design from the rustic to the more mod and contemporary.

The solid wood of a recycled oak wine barrel has a very distinctive element of charm that is conveyed into every object we create. Every individual barrel carries the signs of its unique history in every stave, creating subtle differences in color, grain and dimensions. Slight imperfections are part of the charming nature of the aged oak used for our creations and are to be expected.
We love the fact that we are able to help the environment by recycling the raw material and to turn it into an object of ‘practical elegance‘ at the same time.
