Recycled printed-paper and cardboard are used as a raw material to create complex collages with a three-dimensional effect. The paper is manipulated and transformed, selected according to thickness, color, text, images and letters. It is cut into strips and folded into small or large « concertinas », as 3D pixels, with a squared base and glued in a cardboard base. The image obtained, is readable or highly distorted, depending on our point of view. “Repetitive complexity makes simplicity” represents the nature of these artworks. Looking closely, you could find thousands of fragments of words, faces, colors, symbols, pictures and letters. But if you just stand back, they form an image totally new, simpler and independent.
